I think so. That's how Max, Elizabeth, and Liz (my three dead goldfish) might have died. They all lived together. Poor things.
You touch two fish with both of your hands until there are a lot of fish! Jesus loves you!
If you mean the fish is having buoyancy problems, chances are that it's a water quality issue. Make sure that you are changing at least 50% of the tank water every week, and using a water conditioner per the dosage on the bottle when you change the water.

Sticking your hands into an aquarium can be harmful to fish as it likely scares them, causing stress. Sometimes if you are wearing perfume, cologne or deoderant these can also cause problems. It is best to avoid putting your hands into your aquarium for these reasons. If you must stick your hand in the tank (To adjust plants, ornaments, clean or inspect an ill looking fish), make sure you wash your hands and rinse them off REALLY well! Any type of soap, lotions, perfumes, etc. Can seriously harm your fish! Make sure you have nothing on your hands, even if you think they're clean, the fish most certainly won't appreciate it when you dirty up their water!
