However, there is no evidence that mixing the 2 substances as prescribed will have any serious negative effects on the human body or brain, as long as the physician(s) prescribing the drugs are aware that you will be taking both at the same time. Always be sure all prescribing professionals know what other drugs you take when you get a new prescription. You can get very good information from your pharmacist about drug interactions by asking to consult with the pharmacist when you pick up your prescriptions (it is a vital part of their jobs).
If you have hypertension or another heart condition, or your brain chemistry is being altered with other medications or current conditions, you should also be sure your doctor and pharmacist are aware of those conditions before taking the new prescription.

∙ 10y agoThis really comes off as a silly question to me, but I'll answer this anyways. The short answer is: you really shouldn't, uppers and downers at the same time can have a bad effect on the heart. However, ones size, overall health and tolerance to both drugs play a major factor in how somebody will react to that combination. This combination is known to kill in some cases, and the well-known actor Chris Farley is a prime example of that.
