Traditional mixers for Scotch include water (cold, but not iced:- true scotch lovers abhor ice); ginger beer; or sometimes whole milk.
Water is the best of these; the other two are acceptable to drink at the same time, but preferably from a different glass.
(You can also pour scotch on warm haggis - but that isn't really a mixer).
