Yes, IMMEDIATELY within 3 seconds after punching in your code, hit the 5 on your pad and your trunk will pop open. also if you immediately hit the 4 the other three doors will unlock.
Call a locksmith.
Dealer can provide a replacement. I have been a Locksmith for 22 years, call a Locksmith and they can make a new key. There is also likely a trunk release button in the glove box.
You will find it on the right hinge of the trunk
Open the trunk and look at the trunk hinge, the code is there. If it isn't you will need to go to a Ford dealer so they can reset the code.
Standing in front of the trunk open it up. The key code should be on the right hinge (made of metal) of the trunk. In white Label background the code will be in Black 5 digits.
The obvious answer is with the key. But there's usually a truck switch in the glove box or on the drivers side door panel. Other than that you'd need the code or keyfob.
With the key. You can take it to a dealer to get the code. Look on the Trunk Lift Rods - it's sometimes on there. Good Luck
On hinge in trunk, may also be in front of owner's manual (which tells about programming it).
Use a 1999 grand marquis gs key!!
With the key, there is no trunk release inside the car. You use the same key you would use to open the door to open the trunk.
