I just got the new xbox slim, I would defenitly go with the slim.
It has built in wifi, better fan system so no more red ring, more quiet, 250 gb hard drive, and easy input for the kinect.
1- the ps3 have wayy better graphics 2- there is no such thing as 'the red ring of doom' in the sony corporations. 3- sony has a wider range of [and better] games. 4- its free to play online 5- faster and easier to use 6- more hard drive capacity.
yes you should buy the Xbox 360 slim
You could but your losing more money. Instead you could get a ps3 thats cheaper and does more... :)

Buy a wireless router. Buy an Xbox 360 Wireless Adaptor if you have the old xbox, but dont if have the slim one. Go to "Join Xbox Live" in your Xbox 360 Guide (Press the xbox logo on your controller). Follow the on-screen instructions.
Personally, I would buy a banned xbox 360 for at a high $50 and at a low $10.
No, you can also buy the latest Xbox 360 Slim that has just came out, which has a great glossy black finish.
