∙ 13y agoNo, they can't even be inserted into one. They have a special tab to ensure they can ony go into a 3DS, which is the only console that can play them.

∙ 9y ago3DS games cannot be played on a DS lite. You need a console from the 3DS family - 3DS, 3DS XL, 2DS, New 3DS, New 3DS XL.

However, the Nintendo 3DS XL and Nintendo DS lite can connect together to play DS games, but not 3DS games.

3DS games are not compatible with previous DS models. While the DS, lite, DSi and XL are roughly the same thing, and play all the same games, the 3DS is a completely new model, like the original DS was to the GBA.
