Most Probably it will, because every LEGO game have had online co-op for Xbox and PS3 since LEGO Star Wars The Complete Saga or even earlier.
It would be odd to brake that now whouldnt it?
still it ain't no conformasion about online co-op and i got worried when i saw on the page for the Xbox Live and it saied Offline Co-op 2 player but it didnt stand Online co-op!

Grievous isn't in LSWII, only the first one as a boss for Episode III. But, if you have a Lego Star Wars 1 save file with Grievous unlocked, you can go into Lego Star Wars 2 and buy the cheat "Use old Save", which lets you take all your old characters from Lego Star Wars 1 and play as them in Star Wars 2.
