Why psp cant play old games?
The Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP), first released in 2004, cannot play old games because it introduced a new storage medium, known as the Universal Media Disc (UMD). no, because you have to download the games. the psp go doesn't come with a umd drive. But if you downloaded the games from PSN on you old psp you can go to account manager, downloads and there is a list of all games you bought from PSN which you can re-download at no cost.
