no you can not switch a 240v plug with a 110v plug.... if a plug is installed on an electrical apliance there is a reson for it! switching a the plug on an apliance to one of the wrong voltage will result in the equipment either not working or being damaged, and in the worst case could even result in death by electric shock!

always talk to a qualified electrition before under taking any electrical ulterations to existing apliences.

No, of course not. A 240 V appliance needs 240 volts to operate. Besides the plugs, male and female are completely different configurations.

The pin configuration of the 240 volt receptacle is different from a 120 volt pin configuration. This is a safety factor to prevent the wrong voltage being applied to the wrong devices.
