i have 22's with 265/22/35 tires on my caprice. i have the interceptor package which has the super spring kit. i dont have any extra room for bigger rims without a spring lift kit. so i would have to say no, u would have to go with a spring lift kit. if you want a custom car lift kit, the guys over at www.liftabrand.com might be able to make some custom parts for you.
in order for 22 to fit your 1988 caprice you will have to lift your car 4 to 5 inch
$500.00
not without a lift kit but if determined you can make any thing fit
Yes. In fact you can fit up to 22" without a lift, as long as you get a real low profile tire on it.
I looked up on cardomain.com and found a box Chevy with 24 inch rims on it with no lift kit or nothing here is the site: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3236910 just copy and paste.
no you dont need a lift kitt to put 20s on a caprice you can put 22s on it without a lift kitt
a 22 with out a lift kit
if you lift it and modify the suspension. I had a 95 caprice classic on 36's and it was the bounciest ride ever. i wouldnt bother with it
yes but you will need a lift kit to do it correctly
yes you might need to lift 5 inches. You can get a 5 inch lift for $124(this includes s@h) at universalliftkit.com
With no lift you can only get a 31x10.50. Add a two inch lift to get to a 33x12.50. (This excludes trimming fenders)
I believe you can fit 22s on a 94 caprice ive seen em on older caprices (without having to lift the car and the 94 is basicly an older caprice with newer body panels ..its the same as an 83 caprice but call your local town fair tire to be sure
