Absolutely.
Go to VWVortex.com and search for '1985 Scirocco' or 'FS Scirocco'. Someone probably has it for sale or has a photo series.
The 16 valve 1.8L engine from 1986-88 and then other models bolts right in, just with stiffer mounts, and a different exhaust system, CIS-E fuel system with knock sensor. Uses same transmission.
Also can use the VW ABA 2.0L engine from a 1993+ Golf Jetta. Just use 1.8 16v mounts. Requires the knock sensor also. Either transmission.
Other engines: 2.0L 16v with its transmission, or a VR-6 (good luck).
All require as well: LARGER master cylinder and power boost, larger front brakes, oil cooler, front springs, all 4 struts, and ABSOLUTELY must have cross brace at lower control arms.
No you can not put any Oldsmobile motor into a 1985 Cutlass Supreme. Each car has a motor that was designed specifically for that vehicle. So if you need to replace the motor in a 1985 Cutlass Supreme, you need to find the specific motor for that vehicle.
Put bigger motor in it
Engine, not motor, and yes, it can be done feasibly.
If you have imagination,cutting torch,and a welder.
With some modifications yes, this can be done.
alot of cuting go ahead and make it carburated
yes
yep
absolutely! check out paisteboy on youtube. i did the swap with no problem. he will show you how to swap the 2.5 for a 6.5hp motor.
it looks like a motor oil dip stick. but where you put it in is a bigger circle than the motor oil, it is most likely to be seen in the back of the motor towards the firewall
Anything is possible. But the vehicle is to heavy for that engine. Instead why not a 5.4L of something bigger.
sure it can be done, just put in V8 motor mounts and a bigger radiator.
