Yes-No-Maybe.

Some will lose their human conditioning real easy, and have strong enough instincts to survive well on their own. Others find it more difficult. The big apes for instance rely heavily on being taught survival skills by their mothers and are very hard to reintroduce. Animals that are potentially dangerous to humans might keep associating humans with food, which can lead to all sorts of dangerous encounters.

Should you put a wild animal back in the wild?

The wild is actually a rather hostile place to live. Most animals die before they even reach sexual maturity. If you are going to return a wild animal to the wild best make sure it is still capable of fending for itself. A domesticated animal wouldn't last long out there.

Is Amaterasu a dog or a wolf?

First off: A dog is a pet nowadays, a domesticated wild animal, understand me? While a wolf is a wild animal, no where near a domesticated dog. Put that and that together and you get your answer. Amaterasu is a god, that has taken upon a life form. Your answer? Amaterasu is technically a wolf.

Isn't releasing a wolf that has been raised in the zoo dangerous to be put back into the wild?

Yes, this is dangerous because the wolf has been domesticated and now relies on humans. When you put the wolf into the wild, they will not know how to hunt or find a new pack. The wolf will either eventually die from starvation or the creatures of the wild will kill that lone wolf. ~chibikokomon@gmail.com

Can you tell us the need for sanctuaries and national parks?

When parks and sanctuaries first started they were there for money making schemes, but since then they have grown up fast to the information today (such as endangered animals) Now parks and sanctuaries are they to breed and put back into the wild. That is their main objective, but it is a lot more troublesome then many people think. They can't just put an animal back into the wild and hope for the best as the animal is used to being fed and looked after. It takes generations to put animals back into the wild for the reason stated above Hope this helps :)
