If it is single stage paint then no if base coat then yes....
well what i do is i put a top coat on then my base coat with little designs usually then i put a clear coat not to thick though! hope that helps!

yes u can use clear coat on ur enamel paint but first u hav to put primer then paint coats two - three coats depending on the requirements and then apply the clear coat single or double as required and most important thing is drying time shud be given in between each coats.
Go to Walgreen's or another drug store and look for Bonder. You put it on Before the base coat (1st layer) then you put on 2 coats of your color you want, then a clear coat. After that if you want you can put a design and another clear coat. Be sure to let each layer of polish dry before doing the next one!

A clear coat or more depending on what you have painted. This will chip the clear coat not your colour coat. For best protection a two pack clear that when cured ends up as hard as nails to protect the finished products colour from damage. It also will chip but gives a good protection for the colour coat. !
you can put primer on scuffed surfaces. but really its a waste. if you scuff the paint with 320 grit sandpaper thats all you should need . unless you sand down to bare metal then you can hit it with primer

if you put a oil base floor sealer over water base you will find the top coat will flake and peal off your new floor. You need to wait 30 days before applying the oil base sealer to reduce your chances of peeling.
