Criss-crosses are put on peanut butter cookies so you can tell what kind they are without tasting them.

Put in butter, and the eggs, if it's not already on the bread
it is because it will give it more flavor or else it wont and it will be bland!:]
Do you mean a cake mix? If so, you need to butter the pan, and then flour the pan. After you remove the excess flour, then you can put the cake mix in the pan.
If by "freeze" you mean stuck, perhaps your not using a lubricant in your frying pan. Before you put the egg in the frying pan, always melt a spoonful of butter in the frying pan first. When the butter has melted, then you may add your egg. Butter may be subsituted with margarine, olive oil, grape seed oil, etc.
Of course you can make cookies with margarine instead of shortening, I do it with all my cookies. When you use margarine you don't need to grease your baking pans, and I think the cookies come out more tasty.
Butter is a primary ingredient in all cookies; it helps to bind all the ingredients together and also ensures that the final cookie will be crumbly, rather than dry, hard and chewy.
it's actually salt. the more salt you put in the thicker. butter too. salt and butter.
"I love 'making' cookies, they come out really well."
If you were to put something in a hot pan it would matter what it is , if it were to be a block of butter it would dissolve because there is so much heat
