You can and it will load but it will tell you that there is an error because the CD is meant for Dell only. You will need an E-Machine CD to boot or have some sort of Hirens Boot CD which can be downloaded for free by Googling it by name

How do you install Windows 7 in GX520?

If you already have a operating system on it, put in the Windows 7 DVD and hit setup. If not boot the DVD. Some PC's require you to enter BIOS(default F2/DEL) at boot to put boot priority or enable the boot option button(default F12). Keep in mind your PC must meet the required hardware for Windows 7 to install it. If this question is referring to the Dell OpiPlex you might have to do some prework to get it going with decent performance.

How do I uninstall your operating system to install a new system?

There is no uninstaller for an operating system. To remove an OS, simply format the partition that holds the operating system. If you use a boot manager to choose between different operating systems the software should automatically detect missing operating systems for you.

How do you dual-boot?

It is best to reserve an entire disk for the second operating system. Sometimes different OSs don't play well together on different partitions of the same hard drive. If you want to dual boot, most modern bios's will have a key that you press during start-up that will allow you to select the drive that you want to boot to. If you want to boot from a partition on a hard drive, you will need a program that will function as a boot manager. Grub and LILO are commonly used boot managers for Linux. You can also pay for a program that will do the same thing, like Partition Magic. If you want to use the empty space on your Windows hard drive you will need to move all of your files to one end (so to speak) of the disk so there will be uninterrupted space to put the second partition. Again, there are programs that will do this. One is built into Windows and named FIPS.EXE. The "antidote" for fips is restorrb.exe, so you should copy both of those programs to a bootable floppy before you start playing. Partition Magic can do the same thing with less terror. Another way that you can get more than one operating system on a machine is to install it as a Virtual Machine. It will run under an operating system in a window (or full screen if you so desire). Using a virtual machine is a way of trying out an OS before you decide to install it as a full-fledged alternate OS.

How can you reinstall Windows 98 after you change your hard drive?

You need a boot disk to start it up. Either use your emergency repair disk that you created for that operating system. Boot up the machine and go into the BIOS and enable the "boot from floppy disk" or something similar. Put the boot disk in the floppy drive and reboot. Follow the instructions given; you need CDROM support enabled. When ready insert the W98 disk into your CD Drive and navigate to it's root directory (folder). There's a program called something like "setup.exe", run it and following the instructions. Otherwise, change the boot sequence to CD, IDE0, Floppy, and enable "boot from disk". Restart the machine, you'll be asked if you want to boot from CD. YES. With a new harddisk, you'll be asked to partition the drive. Which you need to do. Just accept the default, which is one primary DOS partition using the whole disk space. It will then format it to FAT32 file system. The actually windows 98 setup will then begin, follow the instructions on screen.

In the computer game the legend of crystal valley how do you fix the robot?

Did you pick up the arm and leg? Did you find all 3 pieces for the robot's sketch? There is one in the library the operating room and the machine room. After finding those go to the room on the left. ( it has a huge machine) Put the paper together and put it in the slot on the right. Next you put either the leg or arm in. (for the arm press yellow, purple, the leg-- green, purple) they should say the piece is fixed. then go to the operating room and put the pieces on the robot.
