Yes it is. Its also easy to microwave things on them because the glass does not get very hot and transfers all that heat into the food. I have grown up using these plates and still use them.
Your glassware may be safer in a dishwasher than washing by hand. I would skip the heated drying mode if you have very delicate pieces.
