No. The iDog just reacts to music from an external source. You cannot store music on it.

How do you put in a cord without getting shocked? Well if you dont want to get shocked put your fingur away from the shocked part.
Plug the cord into the computer and then plug the other end of the cord into the iriver. Then drag the songs you want on the side bar that says iriver sinc list. I have an iriver clix.

Here it is for you in 4 simple steps 1. There is a screw on the left hind leg below the stomach. 2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the cover. (The screw stays in the cover, so you won't unscrew it completely.) 3. Take out the old batteries and put in 2 fresh AA's. 4. Replace the cover and re-tighten the screws. And there you have it, your iDog will be back to it's normal self.
Put the songs back onto the computer from the ipod.
There are many ways in which you could put a longer cord on your dryer. You could put an extension cord on it.
