Garden snails need water for sure! Or else the poor things will dry up. Though they will shrink into their shells for protection, they can't do that forever. Sooner or later, they would starve to death if they don't dry to death. But garden snails cannot literally swim in water, so I don't suggest to put garden snails in large quantities of water.

You can put golden tape around the cage and or aroung the garden so they dont leave. Why? because snails are scared of golden tape. they feel it is their predator, or their enemy. If you want to keep snails out of your garden use these tips.

They are known as garden snails!
yep I researched this question and found that yes you can eat garden snails, although they are not the most recommended snail to eat. Helix aspersa (small grey snail) and Helix pomatia (or Roman snail) are more popular. You can use garden snails from your garden, but snails from your supermarket in case the snail has any pesticides that could be harmful. If you prepare your Helix Aspersa (Garden snail) the right way then you can definitely eat it. I hope I helped you!
