If they are indeed both small block Chevies, then yes the intake will work.
The 5.7 heads will work if they have the smaller 184 intake valves . Or you will have to bore the block over to get the 194 ,200,or 202 intake valves to fit into the cylinder if not it will lock it up when the valve opens and hits the edge of the block

The BLOCK is the same other then the 97 is a roller cam block. If you are asking if a COMPLETE 1994 engine will work in a 1997 then NO it won't. If I have not answered your question then it is because I don't know what you are trying to do.
Yes, it will work. Take the intake manifold/EFI off the '94 block and put on the 70's block. Should work just fine.
Yes you can but you will need to modify the bolt holes in the intake manifold. The TBI intake 4 center bolts, 2 on each side will not line up with the heads. Must drill them out just a little.
