Can you receive international calls to a north American cell phone in north America without being charged?

The international dialling code for New Zealand is "64", while "61" is for Australia. Calling a NZ cell phone from Australia, should be, if I follow the advice above "0011 64 21 499 391". At least, that is what I am going to try.

Depending on the service provider, there are cases that there is a cost if you receive international calls in your cell phone.

But in most cases, there shouldn't have any fee for this transaction. In the European Union it is free of chrage if you receive it in the country where your contract is made, being abroad inside the EU it is regulated being only about two times the charge you pay when you are making a phonecall bu yourself at homeland

Don't think so. All calls are charged to both parties, so an international one would be as well.
