If you are talking about the date data was entered, unless you have specifically put dates in, then the only way to know is from when the file was last saved. If data has been put in over a long period on different dates then there is no way of telling unless you date them specifically. You could do that with comments in each cell or beside cells.

If you are taking about recovering data, once a file is saved, what was there is overwritten. You cannot undo it. You need to make copies of the file. If data has just been entered over other data, then you can hit undo or press Ctrl - Z to undo it.

How do you in spreadsheet or database get a time date stamp for your entries preferably in a 24 hour format?

Excel does not have the ability to time-stamp entries. The only date-stamp you can get is the file date when you save the file. Of course, you could write a macro to record the time of the entry.

What is the excel now function?

How do you recover Excel files after a freeze?

You may just have to go to the last saved version. Another possibility is that when you re-open Excel, it may automatically recover a more up to date version of the file for you.You may just have to go to the last saved version. Why would you copy a table from access and paste it as a link in Excel?

It is possible to share data between different applications. It is often better to do some kinds of processing work in one application than another. So if you had data in a database that you wanted to do a lot of calculations on, and also keep up to date with what is in the database, then you could put a link into the spreadsheet. The spreadsheet can then do its calculations and if anything changes in the database, then those changed will be recognised in the spreadsheet. That way you would not have to keep copying data across to Excel from Access. It is possible to share data between different applications. Advantages software can Excel be integrated with Word?

Excel and Word can be integrated. You can have some of the spreadsheet appear as a table in Word. If you set a link between them, then when Excel updates, so will the Word document. Word does have the facilities to do its own calcuations in tables, but they are limited and so Excel is better. So if you want the figures in a Word document and to keep them up to date as they change in the Excel document, then a link is the way to do it. You would copy the data you want in Excel, and then do a Paste Link in the Word document.

How do you copy Excel to PowerPoint?

On the PowerPoint slide where you want to show your Excel worksheet, you would insert and object (on the Insert tab in Excel 2007, select Object). In the Insert Object box, select what you would like to insert, in this case, select Microsoft Office Excel. A way to automate the copy/paste from Excel to PowerPoint would be with some third party add-in. An option is EzPaste-xl2 anywhere that completely automates the operation with full control of its many aspects.
