Can you remove a radio on a 2000 Mitsubishi galant to clean it out without anti theft devise malfuntioning- have to remove coins that todler threw in it?

Actually the anti theft device is just a metal bracket that connects to the indash stereo itself and bolts on to the inside of the stereo unit housing (way towards the back!) . It can easily be re-connected. It can even be reconnected after putting in an aftermarket stereo as well
