not unless you unbolt it from the vehicle
On the 1997-2000 Ford Expedition models the 3rd row seat are remove by. Folding seat in half then pull handle in the rear of the center of the seat bottom portion of the seat up. Pull handle and push top of seat forward. Be very careful the 3rd row seat is very heavy. Best bet is to get someone to help to fit it out.
You can not remove the third seat. You can remove the second seat and slide the third seat into it's position to get more room in the back. You can also put the third seat in the upright position and move it all the way to the front for more cargo room.
1st step remove the resorts (springs) 2nd step push on the safety located on the front bottom 3rd step pull lever 4th step push seat forward
I found mine in the door post in between the 3rd seat and the back seat door post. It is a small 4 x 4 box with 5 large numbers (your door combo) on it.
more information needed is it in the window or the design in the spoiler
No, they aren't. The second row are larger (same as front seats) and the posts are further apart.
January 3rd, 2003 fell on a Friday.
I just changed the 3rd brake light in my 2010 Sonata - what an ordeal! But I saved the $50 the dealer wanted to charge me! 1. In the trunk, unplug the wire that feeds the 3rdtail light. 2. Remove the rear seat. Remove two 12mm (I think) bolts about 1/3rd and 2/3rd across seat in crack between seat bottom and seat back (where your rear end would be). Pull forward on the two plastic clips in the front of the seat bottom (where you would put your hands to lift up the seat or where the backs of your calves would be). Pull seat out. 3. Remove left and right seat back end cushions. Remove 12mm bolt at the bottom and wack upward (I did this with a rubber mallet) to unhook it from the top hook. Note: these will be a bear to put back in. 4. Fold down both rear seat backs. 5. Remove the thin, black plastic "frame" around the opening. 6. Remove the small "SRS Airbag" medallion in both "C" pillars to expose the philips screw. Remove the screw and the plastic cover from the "C" pillar. It is held in by the one screw and many clips. You might have to pop some of it out with a screwdriver. Be careful, the side airbags are in there. 7. Now you can remove the rear deck. It is just held in by one clip (looks like a small yellow drywall anchor) which is visible and accessible in the trunk. 8. Now all you have to do is remove the housing, I think by removing just 2 small screws, and change the light bulb (bulb #921). Hope this helps. Good luck.
There is a switch on the side of the seat that u must flip down to fold the seat down. then u have to raise it up and slide it out. the bottom has wheels on it. You dont have to fold the seat down, but i didnt even know that you could fold the seat down until this year....I thought that u couldnt. the latch to let the seat down is under the lilltle cover on the side of the seat.
Its pretty easy, pop the white snaps in the trunk to release the cover, I used a 1/4 socket as a pin-pusher, then use a flat head screwdriver to gently "lift" the assembly out of where it sits from the back seat. Be careful because its all plastic, but even if you break some of the clips it still goes back in just fine
It's not designed for a 3rd row seat , Ford didn't offer a 3rd row seat in the 4 door Explorer until the 2002 model
I removed the bench seat by removing the seat tracks...4 bolts on each side beneath the carpet. I just use the the 2 rear bucket seats now and take them out when I need the room for cargo. Saves about 150 lbs which gives better performance as well. You could also take the tracks to a machine or welding shop and have them cut off the rear of the tracks where the stops prevents you from sliding the bench seat out. I thought of that but really haven't found the need for the 3rd seat, so I'm sticking to the former approach. ----- 1 - remove the middle row for easy access 2 - remove the 6 bolts attaching the seat to the sliding brackets 3 - remove bench seat from van. It is very heavy. To remove sliding brackets: 1 - remove trim piece by sliding door or cut away carpet 2 - remove captains chairs in the front seat 3 - unscrew the wiring harness and heater vent 4 - lift carpet & wiring harness while sliding the seat bracket off the track. 5 - repeat on other side 6 - reassemble everything.
