yes you can. First remove the window motor. Remove the 3 screws on the back side. disasemble and clean thoroughly. You will notice three round holes in the body. This part originally called for plastic gromets that would break if put in a bind. Simply replace with 3/8 nut. Reassemble, using packing grease.
