If you have ever replaced a water pump on any vehicle the answer would be "yes" you can do it yourself.
$1000 to $2500 depending on the quality of parts and mechanic
I was told by a mechanic I called that to replace the headgasket for a 95 sw1 will be around 800-1100 depending on how much machining is needed. SOHC engine is known for cracking heads. Reman head from Saturn is approx $300. If you need a head I/d say at least 1000
parts and labor it should run you about $300 and change. Replace the drvive belts too.
When I had my 97 Saturn I asked my mechanic that same question. I was told there is no timing belt on this car. The engine uses all gears.
There is a detailed description of how to do this at the following URL. It is for a Saturn SL2, but should be similar for your Saturn Vue.http://www.ehow.com/how_5014553_replace-wheel-bearings-saturn-sl.html
Slap yourself repeatedly and then call a mechanic like you should have in the first place!
If you do not know how to replace it, then you should not try to replace it. If you want to know WHERE it is, then look near the thermostat housing.
It will take like 2 to 5 mins
Take it to a mechanic . That should be ur best bet
It should be under the dash between the radio and accelerator. You can change it yourself, but it will have to be programmed by a dealer or mechanic.
Do it yourself, or mechanic? If you do it yourself your looking at $17.14 from partstrain.com. However, im sure if you took it to a mechanic they would tell you at least $80.
You should ask a mechanic who fixes cars. How will we know?
