To reprogram your key fob for a Cherokee you need to start by pressing the lock button five times (wait two seconds between each press). Next put the key in the ignition and it to run. Once the chimes stop press and hold unlock and panic at the same time for one second. The chimes will sound again, press and release unlock and lock buttons on the remote. Lastly press and release just the lock button and once the chime sounds you are finished.
you turn ignition on, press and hold lock button for 5 seconds, turn off and remove key, wait 5 seconds, then try it
Open the key fob up and look see what battery it contains. Buy that exact battery.

To replace the key fob battery in a 2014 Jeep Cherokee, first, use a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob along the seam. Once open, remove the old battery, noting its orientation, and replace it with a new CR2032 battery, ensuring the positive side is facing up. Finally, snap the two halves of the fob back together until they click securely. Test the fob to ensure it works properly.
