You can try to clean the head bolts using either a wire brush and solvent, a bead blaster or soda blaster. After the bolts are cleaned thread them into the block to make sure they turn freely. If there is any indication that the threads are damaged do not use the head bolts.
Do not use a sandblaster to clean the head bolts since that will cause erosion of the threads, making the head bolt unusable.
For all the 2.3, 2.4L QUAD 4 engines, the head bolts are Torque to Yield. The porper torque value is 30ftlbs PLUS a 90 degree turn of the wrench. The bolts must be new every time ( NEVER REUSE OLD BOLTS). The torque values and proper sequence are including in the box the new bolts come with. BUT honestly, the torque value is 65ft lbs like all GM Chevy motors have been for eons.
The caliper bolts may need lubricant as the caliper slides across the metal bolts it may squeak. Or overnight brake rotors can rust so when it first moves in the morning it may squeak.
it is ok to reuse the old ones just be sure to pay attention to your torque values, replace any of them that look bent, stripped, or damaged.
