yes you can.
but you only have approx. 1" filler on all sides
you can probably take about 1/4" off on each side safely.
if you need more than that you will have to remove or replace the filler strip .
A hollow core door actually has a honeycomb of corrugated cardboard inside it to keep it rigid. You can only take about an 1/8 off of either vertical side before the wood gets too thin to hold a hinge screw.
You can cut the height down but it's a pain. You'll have to take the piece you've cut off, cut the plywood skin and the ends off it and then MASH the cardboard honeycomb back far enough so you can glue the bottom back into it.
Rip Leaving Sleepy Hollow was created in 1896.
Hollow core doors have a hollow space inside, making them lighter and more affordable, but less soundproof and insulating. Solid core doors are heavier and more expensive, but offer better soundproofing and insulation.

The hollow core of a needle is called the lumen. It is the open space inside the needle through which fluids are drawn or injected.

Nope....sorry
Am asking the question
Solid core doors are more durable and provide better sound insulation compared to hollow core doors. Solid core doors are made of solid material throughout, making them heavier and more resistant to damage. They also offer better soundproofing qualities due to their dense construction. On the other hand, hollow core doors have a hollow interior, making them lighter and less durable. They also provide less sound insulation compared to solid core doors.
core, bore, hole,
Choosing a hollow core wood door for your home can offer advantages such as being lightweight, cost-effective, and providing good sound insulation.
Solid core doors are made of solid material throughout, providing better soundproofing and durability. Hollow core doors have a honeycomb-like structure inside, making them lighter and more affordable but less soundproof. Solid core doors are more suitable for homes where soundproofing and durability are important, while hollow core doors are a good choice for areas where weight and cost are primary concerns.
Scientific evidence, such as seismic waves and gravity measurements, indicate that the Earth has a solid core surrounded by various layers of molten and solid rock. These studies show that the Earth's interior is not hollow but rather composed of different materials at varying depths.
