I run both a 24" bar and a 36" bar on my 064, but I run skip-tooth chain on the 36" bar, and switch over to the shorter bar whenever practical. yuou could get away with a bigger bar, but it would be hard on the saw, as well as slow cutting.
Marathon bar, from Mars. An eight inch bar with chocolate and caramel
An 042AVE is 68cc and generally will run a 16", 18" or 20" bar. They use a 3/8" full profile chain that has 60, 66 or 72 drive links respectively depending on bar length.
I have an 034AV Super. The owner's manual (21 years old) recommends 50:1 if you use Stihl-brand oil, 25:1 if you use a different brand. There have been lots of advances in oil over the last 20 years, I use a different brand of oil and I never run it richer than 40:1. A good rule of thumb: your engine (they didn't make 034's after 1993) should only smoke a tiiiiiny bit when warm. If it smokes more, than you're running it too rich.
People look for different things in a chainsaw. There are favs in multiple categories of chainsaws. But, all around Stihl is thought to offer the best chainsaws, for homeowners. And, they offer a variety of gas/electric chainsaws. Makita is very promising in giving Stihl a run for their money, though. Their Makita 64cc 20-Inch Bar 4.7 HP Gas Powered Chain Saw is recommended time and time again.
Depends on the pressure. What bar do you intend to run at?
Certain models of Stihl grass trimmers are designed to run on gasoline and can be used with up to a 10% (E10) blend of ethanol in the gasoline/engine oil mix, although it is important not to exceed this limit.
there is no RPM settings for a chain saw, it is controlled by the gas trigger, when cutting wood run it full throttle, the rpm settings for stihl varies depending on the model of the unit. all stihl products have an idle rpm setting and wot rpm setting
The tension bar is the supporting bar that you can loosen to slide the alternator down and remove the belt. Tension on the belt should be 1/4-1/2 inch when pushed on the longest straight run. (Between pulleys)
That would be the Marathon Bar, manufactured by the Mars candy company.
rings are burned and there is only enough compression to run the engine without load.
The Twenty-Four-Inch Home Run was created in 1990.
