The short answer is yes but they are referred to as spindles
4-wheeled cars have 4 axles. Depending on the type of drive-train that the car uses, some of the axles might only be stub axles or hubs, and some axles might be referred to as 'spindles', but they are all, 'axles', nonetheless.
Any high quality #2 lithium based grease for the spindles & axles.
yes
take it to someone who knows what there doing
I just recently replaced the clutch on my Chevy Aveo. The nice thing is that I didn't have to pull the engine. You do have to pull the axles out by removing two bolts on the bottom arm of the spindles. You might want to mark the spot so it goes back into the same spot. You also may want to remove all the transmission bolts and wire connectors before removing the axles because you will start leaking gear oil. It was fairly easy with the tough bolts in the usual places.
The differential between the axles controls the AWD on a 1996 2.2 Subaru Legacy Wagon.
Dexter axles that are for mobile homes trailers say on them for 1 time use only, I believe that the spindles are not the same quality as their others. Now is a one time use 1,2, 25, 50 or 2500 miles?
The only thing on a BMX regularly called a spindle would be the crank axle. Although I suppose one could use spindle for the pedals and the wheel axles as well.
depends on what make and model of vehicle. usually they are located on the spindles and read off of the axles. usually there is just one bolt and a plug. some are located in the transmission or rear end.
yes, but you will have to buy mounts, transmission, linkage, axles, ecu and front spindles, you will have to change your wiring harness and go backwards to an obd1 harness, or use a jumper harness.
That involves removing the axles the tranny. I just replaced the clutch and tranny on my 95 tercel and it's not fun.
