I just did about an hour ago coincidentally. However, generalize removes your profile and explorer settings as well as that of your software (you have to reenter your registration/licensing info on any programs you activated before you sysprepped). My driver settings also got removed, so I have to redo my Logitech and Saitek software.

Run sysprep.exe from c:\windows\system32\sysprep folder. Set drop-down box to OOBE and check the Generalize box. Reboot.This will set the O/S to a new-like state. Search for sysprep or OOBE for more info.
