if the car is running rough whilst idleing or running, simply unplg the airflow meter and test drive the car. if the airflow meter is buggered- whilst it is unplugged it should run fine

i had the same problem ; first my air filter was torn , when i replaced it my car ran better but still not right then i bought CRC mass airflow cleaner and cleaned the mass airflow sensor and now it runs perfect

You can run an engine in/out of a car without a transmission. Car wont move and engine wont be mounted properly. So i suggest not to run an engine without a transmission unless you know what you are doing.
