Depends, I put new 3 point seat belts in the front of my 69 Westy, the rear seat belts on the rock and roll bed are a bit short for some car seats, but there are aftermarket seat belts available to make it a bit more standard. I would say yes, that's it's perfectly safe as long as the belts are good and fasten in their designed purpose.
