Scenting the water in the humidifier is not recommended. You want to keep the water chamber as "sterile" as possible. Meaning you want to keep if free from as many outside contaminants as possible. These contaminants can cause build up over time which can then lead to bacteria growth that is then introduced into the air that is breathed.

However there are several companies out there that sell products which can be scented and placed near the air filter intake, which will scent the air that you breathe. This is called aromathearapy. This should be discussed with your physician or respiratory therapist prior to using though because there may be reasons not use on a patient by patient basis.

Lastly, if you do use aroma therapy, be sure to check the air filters often. They may need to be changed more frequently. Also I would recommend staying on top of your tubing. Cleaning it at least weekly and replacing every 2-3 months as needed.

Yes, dogs can find water by scent.

Can you put camphor in the water in your husbands Cpap machine?

Nothing should be added to the water in the humidifier. The only thing that should be put here is STERILE or DISTILLED Water. Adding anything else can cause adverse affects to the humidifier rendering it inoperable. Certain additives can also allow the growth of bacteria which would then be breathed into the lungs. There are aromatherapy options that can be used with CPAP machines by using a third party applicator system to allow the use of aromatherapy while under CPAP therapy. These can be obtained through some CPAP suppliers.

What type of water should you use with a CPAP?

Only Sterile or Distilled water should be used in CPAP machine. It is important not to use tap water or drinking water as these will leave a mineral residue in the machine and will seriously decrease the lifespan of your CPAP unit.Sodium Chloride (AKA Normal Saline or 0.9% NS) should not be used either. This contains "salt" which could cause functional issues as well.If you have a residue in your unit try using a vinegar rinse to clean the water chamber.

How do you get electricity for a CPAP sleep machine while sleeping?

Most CPAP machines plug directly in the wall. If you're talking about using a CPAP while camping or somewhere without power, you can buy batteries specifically for your CPAP machine.

Is sterile irrigation water safe to use in CPAP machine?

That depends on how the water was sterilized. The thing you want to avoid is dissolved minerals, which can build up in the humidifier of the CPAP. Distilled water is recommended because dissolved minerals cannot cross the distillation process. Other forms of "purification" such as filtering or semi-permeable membranes can leave minerals dissolved in the water.Products sold as "Sterile water" (especially for contact lenses) are frequently sterile saline solution, and should NOT be used in a CPAP.

Could you show me the pillow and pillow cae and the poe used for CPAP?

These are really optional and not required for CPAP therapy use. There are several options available for cpap pillows and their cases available. Try searching for CPAP pillow in search bar of your browser/search engine. The pole being referred to is for "hose management" during CPAP therapy use. While it is helpful, again it is not required.
