Of course. The earth is bigger than the moon, so it appears even larger in the sky from the moon than the moon appears in earth's sky. There are many beatiful pictures of the earth taken from the moon.

AnswerSure you can. Without something to block our view we can see it, it can see us. And just as the moon looks bigger on our earths horizon, the earth earth looks smaller when it is high in the sky than when it is at the moons horizon. (Being larger because we have something to compare it to. The horizon.)

Answer

Surely you can.. there is no atmosphere on the moon so you can see the actual colour of the sky along with the beautiful view of mother earth unlike from here, where the view gets hindered by the water vapours/ gases and all present in the atmosphere!!

"Earthrise"One of the most sensational pictures taken from the moon by Apollo 8 astronauts was a shot of the earth "coming up" into view. A link is provided down below to allow the cur did not "ious viewer a peek into the past. It's worth the look. Promise!

ANSWER IS NO

Apollo 8 did not "land" on the moon, it only orbited it. The Earth can not be seen from the moon because the same side of the moon always faces the Earth.

"The Earth can not be seen from the moon because the same side of the moon always faces the Earth." is wrong and makes no sense. Why would something be invisible because it is always facing you? And the Apollo 8 did take the Earthrise photo from the Moon, as it orbited, and it is glorious!

Is the earth always fully visible from the moon?

The Earth will have the dark side hide under it's shadow like the way we see Moon from Earth but probably in reverse. Our full Moon is the time for new Earth and the Full Earth is the new Moon. The key is that, we saw the moon from sunlight reflect on the surface. For us to see full Moon, on the moon we see the back side of the earth so the earth is dark and that is the New Earth.

Why do you always see the same side of the moon from earth?

We see the same of the moon from earth because that is the side that always faces the sun. So that's how we see the moon phases and the side we always see. You always see the same side of the moon from earth because the moon orbits on its axis at the same speed that it rotates around the earth, so the same side of the moon is always facing the earth.

You would see similar phases, but the earth phase as viewed from the moon will always be the opposite of the moon phase as seen from earth at any given time. If the moon is seen as a full moon from earth, then the earth would be in complete shadow. If a new moon is seen from the earth, then a full earth would be seen from the moons surface.

Why can you see the full moon only at night?

Because this is how the moon cycle works: MOON---EARTH---SUN=full moon EARTH---MOON---SUN=new moon. So, when you see the moon during the daytime, it's because its orbit is interfering with the Sun's. But during a full moon, when the moon is behind the Earth, it cannot interfere. See?
