The constellation Virgo is visible in all seasons, if you are between the latitudes of +80° and −80°. It is best visible at 9pm during the month of May.

In Virgo, and in all other constellations, astronomers can see objects all the way to the edge of the observable universe. Some of these objects are galaxies containing billions of stars.
You can see it after sunset, and continue seeing it for several hours. This is not just on March 12, but during all of March.
Constellations such as Virgo derived their names long ago from acient Greeks who could see pictures in the sky. It's very difficult now to see these pictures because we have so much light from other sources. Probably even the Greeks needed a lot of imagination to see them. Virgo supposedly looked like a young woman.
