Cold grilled salmon can be served easily in a salad, or even just on a plate with a few springs of mint and parsley for a summery snack. Be sure and provide your dinner guest with a fresh lemon or lime, nothing kicks off a fish dish like citrus!

Wow - not answered yet! I was looking for side dishes. I have always had a Belmont Stakes and Steaks on the grill party... Cheddar Cheese (NY of course) Platter with Frozen Grapes (yum) Shrimp Cocktail NY Strip Steaks Baked Potatoes Sour Cream Chives Iceberg Salad with lots of veggies Tomatoes on top Variety of Dressings Cheesecake The theme is New York all the way. As for on the side - what do you serve? I have had: Green Beans Grilled Asparagus with Holiday (yogurt-based cold hollandaise) Grilled Veggies (zucchini, onions, mushrooms) Fried Mushrooms When attending the Belmont Stakes - seems to me the traditional foods were steaks and burgers but I got no feel for side dishes.

If it is smoked then it is no longer raw... Its just cold. It is ok to eat cold smoked salmon. Smoking the fish actually makes it keep longer. In most cases it is ok to eat salmon raw as well... But it has to be fresh, never frozen and obviously not rotten at all.
