Can you shoot a deer with a 22 long rifle model number 250?

NOT NO BUT HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First i know of no state that it is legal to shoot deer with a rimfire cartridge. second it is waaaaaaaaaaaaay underpower for deer . yes you can kill a deer with it but it still not right. Hunting ethics dictate that we make a clean and as mercifull kill as possible and that is veeeeeeeeeeeery hard to do with 22 long rifle and illeagle in all states i know of

That guy is proably right.Deer nowadays wear bullet proof armor,that's 10 inches thick and made of hardened steel,capable of stoping any round,except the finest Barrettwinchesterremmingtonweatherby super,ultra,mega 50 caliper rounds.Basically what im trying to say is that,if your gun cant split a tank down the middle,leave it at home...Just kidding,look I've eaten venison(and there's more in the freezer)taken by a Double Deuce,head shots of course,at around 50 yards(Droped like a hot plate).A Double Deuce is the prefered choice of assassins and anything that'll take down a grown man has no problem taking Bambi's dad.It is illegal(Blah,Blah),but it can easily be done,I ain't knocking any caliper,as long as it is a good clean kill(Temple Shot with light calipers at close range).I've seen people shoot deer with .300 Remington Ultra Mags,and the deer still ran into the next county,and was buzzard food a few days later.If you know your cartridges limitations,and know how to make a well placed shot with your gun,by all means,pull the bullet out before you go to the meat processor...Tell them it was taken with a 243 at 600 yards(Just in case it doesn't pass all the way through),and you wanted to save the trophy bullet,they would'NT know the difference,or proably would'NT care period...P.S. If I had no choice i'd use CCI High Velocity 40gr solids...Let me throw this in just incase the feds are reading...DONT SHOOT DEER WITH A .22,THATS ILLEGAL AND STUFF... ;) ...Happy Hunting
