Your 870 smooth bore with an IC choke is capable of accuracy well beyond 100 yards. You just need to find the brand/type/weight of slugs it likes best.

Yes, but pay attention to the choke tube. Anything tighter than a modified won't work. Sabot slugs CAN be shot from smoothbore, but you're just wasting money--they wont spin.
