You can, but, why would you?
The CVA website has a downloadable user's manual for your rifle. Go to cva.com, FAQs, scroll down to user's manual. Read the entire manual before attempting to shoot your rifle.
A couple of hundred meters.
sure can.
Depends on the skill of the user.
No. Pellet rifles are designed to shoot all brands of pellets. But remember pellets, unlike BBs come in different sizes. So if your rifle shoots .177 pellets, only shoot .177 size pellets not .22 size or any other size. Never shoot BB's in a pellet rifle unless it is designed to shoot pellets and BB. It will say in the instructions if it can shoot both. Also remember that pellets also come in different weights. Light pellets will fly faster but are not as accurate as heavier pellets that fly slower but straighter and have more knock down punch.
While these are very well made firearms, the value of the traditional sidelock rifles has decreased as in-line muzzle loaders have become more popular. These can be found in very good condition for about $250. I shoot a T-C Hawken in 50 cal, and it is an excellent rifle.
Typically a round ball .440 inches is used, together with a greased cloth patch about .015 inches in thickness. This results in a "squeeze" fit of the ball to the barrel. If you have a modern muzzle loader, we would urge you to contact the maker, and get the owner's manual for YOUR rifle- most are free, and available on line as a download. If you have an ORIGINAL muzzle loader, please do not attempt to shoot anything in it until a competent gunsmith has inspected it. And NEVER use anything but black powder (or a legitimate black powder substitute, such as Pyrodex) in a muzzleloader.
This rifle is a break barrel design an shoot one pellet at a time and has to be reloaded after each shot.
No it is not designed to shoot pellets.
I believe you are asking about a Daisy Red Ryder. If so then they are designed to shoot BB not pellets.
Depending on the type of gun used they can shoot in excess of 1000 yards. Most rifled muzzle loaders are accurate up to 300 +/- yards. Muskets, or guns without rifling are able to shoot accurately to about 150 yards +/- though longer shots have been recorded in all cases, the guns used were designed for long range shooting. There is a wealth of information available at the long range muzzle loader forum posted in the related links section of this answer.
Add a butt pad, add a muzzle brake, shoot ammo loaded lighter, add weight to the rifle.
