It is impossible to slow down time in both pikmin games without the use of an Action Replay. You must collect the 30 parts in the 30 days given, as there is no possibility of altering time.

This question has several answers. It depends how you look at it. There are at least 5: Red, immune to fire, and have slightly better attack than average Yellow, Can be thrown high, carry bomb-rocks, (Pikmin 1) and are immune to elecrticity (Pikmin 2) Blue, Immune to water. Yeah, that's it. White, (Pikmin 2 only) Immune to Poison, and deals damage to enemies when eaten. Can also see underground to dig up extra treasure. Faster than average. Purple, (Pikmin 2 only) Slow, but has high attack power and can stun enemies. Is as strong as 10 Pikmin! Then there are some others: Mushroomin,(Pikmin 1 only) Evil Pikmin infested by a Puffstool Bulbmin (Pikmin 2 only) Underground only, and immune to Fire, Water, Electricity, and Poison!
No, despite Louie's recipes, you cannot eat enemies. You can take the enemies you defeat back to the Onions or the ship's pod, depending on where you are.

Five yellow Pikmin can be found in the giant stump in the middle of the Perplexing Pool. They are not easy to receive, however. A slight puzzle is located to the left of the stump that you must first solve, along with a hoard of enemies.
You have to leave Pikmin idle by a Puffstool and call them at the exact moment they are hit by the Puffstool's spores. This requires perfect timing. Be careful, as Mushroom Pikmin will attack any other kinds of Pikmin.
