Yes. In fact, smoking crack on a pop can with ash as a base is the most efficient method of smoking crack and produces the best high. Exercise caution that you don't suck too hard as you don't want to suck the ash into the holes in the pop can; the goal is to melt the crack onto the ash then smoke the ash until it no longer produces smoke. Holding it in for a long time and inhaling is key. Inhaling even when exhaling is important too. Remember: the rule of thumb for hit size is if you throw up it's too large, if you aren't extremely "rocked" from the blast then it's far too small. My suggestion is taking one hit that is a tad smaller than a hit that would cause you to throw up.
