Yes, although it may decrease the effectiveness (i.e. the pain relief or whatever will be less).

That said, PLEASE PLEASE remember that many over the counter and prescription medications contain acetaminophen (Tylenol). Acetaminophen can change the way other drugs and alcohol you take are metabolized. There is a potential for serious overdose, drug interaction and for liver toxicity from acetaminophen. it is especially dangerous for small children if the recommended dose is exceeded.

If you can tolerate the stomach and other gastric issues associated with ibuprofen (Advil), it has far less toxicity problems then acetaminophen.

Both medication can be taken together. However, both have similar side effects and these might be increased. If you can take a smaller dose (half) of ativan the night you take Tylenol PM, it would be the best choice.

Is it bad to take 3 Tylenol pills?

The maximum dose of acetaminophen for adults is 1000mg at a time, and 4000mg per day. Tylenol 3 contains 300mg of acetaminophen. That makes up to 13 Tylenol 3's during the day. But Tylenol 3 contains 30mg of codeine, and they do not recommend to take more than 240mg of codeine daily. That makes 8 Tylenol 3's all in all at maximum. If you need more acetaminophen, you may try to replace Tylenol 3 with Tylenol 2 or Tylenol 1 (15mg and 8mg of codeine respectively). But, of course, the less you use the better.

Can you take Tylenol 3 and methadone together?

Tylenol 500mg is it similar to Tylenol 3?

yes but Tylenol three has codiene in it which means you need a prescription to obtain Tylenol 3 really contains codeine, but that is not all. Tylenol 3 contains only 300mg of acetaminophen, almost half of 500mg in Extra Strength, Tylenol PM or Tylenol 500). It is very important, as the maximum dosage of acetaminophen must not be exceeded (1000mg at a time, or 4000mg during the day).

Can you take regular Tylenol with Tylenol 3?

You can if you do not exceed the maximum dose of Tylenol taken at a time (1000mg) and during the day (4000mg). Tylenol 3 contains 300mg of acetaminophen. Tylenol Extra Strength contains 500mg of acetaminophen, Tylenol 8 Hour contains 650mg of acetaminophen. So, you have to count not to overdose.
