No. The blood that comes out during each period is for the preparation to nourish the egg. If the egg had not became fertilized, then the bloodline in the uterus is not needed and will be expelled from the body through the vagina. If the egg IS fertilized , the blood will be needed to nourish the new zygote. However, there are other reasons for vaginal bleeding besides the regular menstruation, and these bleedings can be mistaken as periods.
