If your case is over and you've served your time, I believe that you can appply for a Pell.
If you have a felony on your criminal history can you still qualify for a government grant
Yes, by means of expungement - IF you qualify.
The only way a felony on any level, state or federal can be cleared from a record is if an appellate court overturns a conviction (meaning that an individual should never have been found guilty). If an individual has been found guilty of a felony, it will remain on record for life.
Yes, there are procedures that you can follow if you qualify. See below link:
Yes, but only IF you and/or your offense qualify. See below link:
Unlikely. Federal law prohibits felons from possessing a firearm.
Until it is expunged from your record. You can contact me at 4058439909 if you would like to see if you qualify for an expungement. Gary Wood
IIRC, a DUI felony is a state, and not federal felony. At the moment, no - federal law prohibits anyone with a felony record from purchasing, possessing, or having access to a firearm. However, if you get yourself an attorney, it MIGHT be possible for you to have your firearms rights restored, provided it's a felony only at state, and not federal level. Bear in mind, though, that nothing is guaranteed.
Yes, in Texas there are procedures by which you may have a criminal record expunged providing that certain criteria are met. See below link:
Every state has what is known as an expungement process which will seal your felony record from the public - IF you qualify. You must inquire if you are eligible and file the proper paperwork. It is not an easy or quick process, I strongly suggest that you consult with an attorney.
Felonies are permanent on your record and stay for life.
Check with you local Housing Authority there.
