The best way to cope with a long-haired animal in the moulting season (usually during warmer weather) is to buy a good-quality comb and a brush, and groom the dog regularly. Start with the comb, and finish with the brush. Be sure to cover all areas, and have a bag ready to dispose of loose hair as you comb it out. Clean the comb and brush (just running water is fine) after each grooming session.
Be gentle and attentive to your pet's reactions to the grooming, and make it a pleasant experience for your dog, and for you, or you mightn't succeed in effectively combing your pet next time!

∙ 12y agoNo, unfortunately you can't stop them from malting, although you can take him/her to the groomers and get them "stripped." This is where they pull out the fur, i doesn't hurt them at all, don't worry! And yes I know its a pain! You get covered in fur and hair when you just have a cuddle!!
