It will probably induce a manic episode, and make you feel like your on withdrawal from hard drugs. DON'T. 800 MG is an elephant dose, so there is probably a reason you need to be on it. Seroquel is a really serious drug, its not something you should just "stop taking". Definitely needs to be tapered off of.
You can have nausea, trouble sleeping, ect if you stop taking seroquel suddenly. You should talk to your doctor if you want to stop taking it, and he will lower your dosage slowly, as to avoid side affects and withdrawal symptoms.
yes, medications disrupt menses...make sure you notify your physician and us birth control because pregnancy also stops menses. Seroquel is not compatible with pregnancy according to the PDR.
just stop
Withdrawl from Quetiapine (Seroquel) and other drugs like it can cause all kinds of symptoms from racing heartbeat to nausea to insomnia. Hopefully you're stopping Seroquel under the advice of a doctor or you are tapering off slowly. DO NOT stop taking this drug cold turkey.
You shouldn't have to taper off of 25mg of Seroquel... it's a VERY low dosage, but if you are using it for sleep and have trouble sleeping when you stop taking it, try cutting it in half and fourths until you don't need it anymore.
I've been getting hiccups very frequently since I started taking Seroquel. I take 200mgs a day. Sometimes the hiccups come right back over and over after I stop them. It doesn't bother me much, so I haven't mentioned it to my doctor, but yes I get them too.
up to and not exceeding 5 days.
why for 10 days? are you having irreg heartbeats, side effects, etc? ask your doc to decrease dosage befor you stop taking altogether- how long have you been taking it?
Just take a break of no more than five days and then continue taking the second pack.
If you stop it all at once you will crash hard . You will have some severe physical and mental/emotional symptoms . Never go off your meds without the reccomendation or supervision of your doctor .
Unfortunatly at this time no one taking Anti-psychotics can join the military. In fact alot of medical issues can stop you from joining the military. Reasons behind this are, if you are in a warzone and you forget to take a pill you can become unstable and become an issue for your unit. That being said, not taking pills for something you have diagnosed with will also stop you from joining. The military gets copies of your medical records and it will be found that you were prescribed Seroquel.
