I was attacked and beat up at an Indian casino in California I did not strike any of the security officers, nor did I resist. I was being escorted out of the casino, when they just jumped me. I was detained and waited for the police to come. Once the police showed up, I was let go, and escorted to my car. No criminal charges were filed against me, but the security officers beat me pretty good. Can I sue the casino for this? you can, but the casino probably has a lot of money and will want to protect their reputation so their lawyer might be better than yours unless you want to spend a lot of money. was it a casino worker or just a random dude? if it was the random guy, suing probably isn't a good idea.

β 12y agoIn a general sense, the answer is yes, you can sue any person or any business for any reason. However, and this is the part most people misunderstand, you can only WIN the lawsuit if you prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the casino acted negligently in some way and that is what caused you to fall, and if the fall caused you some kind of damage (physical or emotional) for which you deserve to be compensated.
