I'm not sure suing is the way to go here. You can report thefts from a locked car to your car insurer, if you have comprehensive coverage, or some house insurance companies will cover this sort of theft as well. You can also report the theft to the police and see whether they can find your stolen goods or who stole them. If you know who it is who broke into your car, contact the police. A civil suit is not the place to settle the dispute.
As for suing a car manufacturer or business for making shoddy locks or being in a bad part of town, it's a risky and most likely fruitless move. At this point, the theft is more your fault than theirs, and you should just move on. Unless somebody specifically promised or implied protection for your car, you're out of luck.
(You shouldn't go out of your way to find anybody to sue here, though. Trying to extort money out of this unfortunate situation is wrong and will most likely end in failure. The culture of sue-happy people is not a healthy one to live in, and if it is your fault, live up to it!)
By law, the cops are not allowed to force you to sue if someone breaks your nose. They won't say:"You won't sue him/her for breaking your nose, you're going to jail." They're not allowed to do that. You're the victim, so you decide wether you sue or not. If you refuse to sue or file a police report, the cops will respect that, but they will tell you the consequences of not suing or filing a police report or taking your assailant to court.
The dog owner is responsible for his dog so you can sue the owner
Did you get a warranty in writing? If not, then you bought the car "As Is". It is your car in the condition it is in. You can of course sue but you will loose. AS IS means just that.
only if they have enough money to sue you, but if you do that you might want to hand out fliers to ppl and make them sign it in order to use your skatepark, so they cant sue you, today in todays economy no one has enough money to sue so i wouldn't worry bout it unless there are richies coming to your house to skate.
well, i guess so. i mean yes you could sue someone twice for the same case, because maybe they did two bad things so u could sue them twice.
READ your contract. Sub leasing might put YOU in DEFAULT. Is the lease in writing???Is YOUR name on the title? IF so, go get your car.
It is very unlikely that you would have a successful lawsuit for someone farting, as it is considered a natural bodily function and not illegal.
Who would you sue...Mother Nature? It's just one of nature's issues, so there isn't someone or something you can sue for it. The answer is no.
one sets the breaks and the other breaks the sets. I'm not really so sure 'cuz, this was also our assignment in one of our subjects and i just tried to fit this in the space provided for us to answer. I'm so sorry if this answer might not be the most accurate of all. peace out. :)
It's assault so yeah. you could
