Yes, you can Supervise more than one category.
Tricky one to answer. Supervisors don't supervise a set number of contributors - they supervise individual categories. For example - I supervise the Snakes category. Some categories will be more popular than others - and thus attract more contributors.
I would like to think there are more floating supervisors than category ones. 'Cat Supers' like myself usually only supervise a small area of this vast database. 'Floaters' roam across the whole site, so there are probably more of them.
Going by questions and category contributions, Justin Bieber is the most popular celebrity on WikiAnswers with more than 57,500 questions in his category as of 2011.
There are more than 121,000 Teen Dating questions in the 'Teen Dating' category.
As of March 2011, there are more than 7,000 questions in the Mark Twain category.
There can actually be a multiple number of supervisors in one category, I've once seen 4 supervisors in one category! But it depends on how busy the category is, sometimes and usually the category may need more then just 1 supervisor for one category of interest. So there are usually a multiple number of supervisors, supervising a category. But usually less than 5, but hey, the more the merrier!
The Internet would be more powerful than WikiAnswers.
There are more than 37,000 FAQ about Relationships on WikiAnswers.
See on this question, right after the words it says "In" and then has a link to the category (Questions about WikiAnswers)? If you go to the category page for the specific category that you want on your site, then you can link to that page only, rather than the home page. If you want a feed of questions just from one category, that may also be possible through our API, but I am not sure. Fill out the support form, and we will try to get you the appropriate information. If you want more than that... like for people to be restricted to only searching in that category from your site, etc, we don't offer that yet, but it is possible that we may in the future.
yes you can if you want to.
There is no "best" supervisor. All supervisors are considered the "best" because they contribute more to the site than a regular contributor. Each supervisor is the "best" in their own special way, be it in a single category, or organizing categories of a certain category.
Rather than look at the criteria for deletion, the selection process is more important. A category is not approved to become a category unless it has a specific number of questions that need a home-- usually several hundred or more questions. A Community Advisor reviews category suggestions and approves or declines it. Some are held back for future use. However, once a category is created, it is here to stay.
